I did promise that I wouldn’t be blogging on individual Lib Dems unless they blogged on individual Conservatives or executive decisions in a new spirit of shared common purpose. Instead of displaying the resonant [...] There’s a strange inconsistency about the Lib Dem conference this time, not least in Chris Huhne – who for a member of the Association of Liberal Democrat Trade Unionists and the owner of no fewer than seven houses, seems remarkably keen to point out inconsistancies in others. He has produced figures from the Home Office [...] Vince Cable deep in thought Up until today, I thought the Liberal Democrats had some good ideas about fair taxation, even if I disagreed about the end result of implementing them. They had argued to replace council tax with a local income tax because they didn’t believe the rich were paying enough and [...] Cllr Denzil Coulson is at the Lib Dem conference in Bournemouth. He and I disagree on some of the finer points but I think his musings are well worth a read! Nick Clegg I think Nick Clegg has been pretty good value over the last couple of days, as he needs to be in the run-up to the Lib Dem conference.
